Check your RSS feeds for dead ones

Upload the OPML file your reader exports, or paste feed URLs. We check every feed and show which are gone, inactive, moved or about to stop, with a replacement where we have one. Then download a cleaned-up OPML to import back.

or paste below

Your file stays in your browser. Only the feed addresses are sent to our checker, and it keeps none of them. Up to 1,000 feeds at a time.

Why feeds stop working

Sites redesign and move their feed to a new address, blogs stop posting, publications close, and platforms switch feeds off. Most readers don't tell you; the feed just stops updating. Reddit ends RSS on November 13, 2026, so every subreddit feed in your reader stops that day. For the big subreddits, our Reddit page lists what each one links to, with a working feed for each, and the checker suggests those for you.

When a feed we know is broken, the checker suggests the address we check every day for the Signal 500, our hand-scored catalog of sources. Looking for more feeds worth following? The best RSS feeds lists them by topic.

Put your feeds where you can see them

FeedsBar runs the feeds you pick as a slim ticker along the edge of your Mac screen. Paste any working feed from your cleaned list into it. How the RSS ticker works.
