Terms of Sale and Use

• €24.99 once. Not a subscription. It includes every 1.x update — if and when there is a 2.0, that would be a separate purchase.
• It is a licence to use the app, on the Macs you use, for as long as you like.
• The headlines are not ours. FeedsBar links to publishers' work; it does not republish it.
• No free trial — a 14-day refund instead, no reason needed.
• You buy it from us directly; Stripe processes the payment.

FeedsBar is made by Graeme Chard, trading as FeedsBar, an independent developer based in Ireland. There is no company — FeedsBar is made by one person. Using or buying FeedsBar means you accept these terms.

You are buying directly from Graeme Chard. Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., who handle the card transaction on our behalf but are not the seller — your contract for FeedsBar is with us, and these terms are the whole of it. Stripe never gives us your full card number.

A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use FeedsBar for personal or internal business use, on Macs that you own or control.

Your purchase includes all 1.x updates — every feature, fix and improvement released in the 1 series, at no further cost, with no subscription and no expiry. If we ever release a major new version (2.0), that may be charged for separately. We will say so clearly before that happens.

You may not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app or your licence.

If FeedsBar is not for you, email hello@feeds.bar within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you. You do not need to give a reason. Refunds are issued through Stripe, back to your original payment method.

That is the same 14 days you have as a statutory right of withdrawal if you are a consumer in the EU or UK. Digital content supplied immediately is an exception to that right — at checkout you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge the right ends once the download begins — so we honour the same window as a matter of policy instead. One deadline, whichever way you come at it.

There is no free trial, and that is deliberate: the refund is the trial. Buy it, run it on your desktop for a fortnight, and if it has not earned its place, ask for your money back.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

FeedsBar displays headlines, links, source names, icons and thumbnail images published by third parties in their own public RSS and Atom feeds. Those remain the property of their publishers. We show a headline and a link and send you to the source; we do not host or republish articles.

Publisher names and logos are their trademarks and appear only to identify the source. If you are a publisher and want your feed removed, email hello@feeds.bar and we will act promptly.

We do not endorse anything shown in the ticker, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party content.

If you suggest a feed you confirm it is a public feed and that you are not trying to place content you have no right to distribute. Suggestions are checked automatically and may be reviewed by a person. We may add a feed, decline it, or remove it later, at our discretion and without explanation. Feeds are shared by everyone using FeedsBar, so we curate what is carried.

Please do not:

• work around the licence, or use the app's API for anything other than running FeedsBar;
• submit automated or bulk traffic to our API, or attempt to disrupt the service;
• reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where law gives you that right regardless of what a contract says;
• use FeedsBar for anything unlawful.

We may suspend access to the API where it is being abused.

FeedsBar depends on feeds published by others. Sources change their URLs, block automated readers, go quiet or shut down, and the mix of feeds we carry will change over time. We do not guarantee that any particular feed, category or topic remains available, and we do not promise uninterrupted service.

We aim to keep the service running for as long as FeedsBar is sold and supported. If we ever had to shut it down, we would give as much notice as we reasonably could.

FeedsBar is provided as-is. Beyond the guarantees you have by law as a consumer, we do not promise that it will be error-free, or that it will suit a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with FeedsBar is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

You can stop using FeedsBar at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you materially breach these terms — in practice, if you are attacking the service or redistributing the app.

We may update these terms for future purchases or to reflect changes in the law. The terms that applied when you bought your licence continue to govern that purchase, except where a change is required by law.

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
